Marianne Williamson started reading the book, A Course in Miracles, when she was “a messed-up girl” in her mid-twenties. Five years later, she started giving talks about the book in Los Angeles. Five years after that, she published her book, A Return to Love, based on its principles. “I was one of those extremely fortunate people whose book was read by Oprah,” Marianne says, “who introduced me to a wider circle of readers than I would have ever thought imaginable.” Twelve books later, Marianne still marvels at the privilege of talking and writing about spiritual principles to people all over the world.
Marianne’s other books include: A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, Everyday Grace, The Gift of Change, Age of Miracles: Embracing The New Mid-Life, Healing The Soul of America, A Course In Weight Loss, The Law Of Divine Compensation and A Year of Miracles. In June 2016, she released her latest book, Tears to Triumph: The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment, in which she writes about spirituality and depression.
Marianne has also been involved in non-profit work, including founding Project Angel Food in 1989, a free meal delivery service to home-bound people with AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses, which has now served over 10 million meals.
“The spiritual principles that rocked my world when I first read about them in 1977 still rock my world today.” Marianne says. “Even more so.”
